Policies for Small Sided Teams and Players

1. Small sided only applies to outdoor teams, U10 and under.
2. Small-sided teams will register using the same procedures as full side teams
with the exception that only a maximum of 14 active players can be on the
rosters. Leagues may restrict their roster size to 12.
3. Small-sided teams can only travel to small-sided tournaments that are
non-results oriented. Non result oriented tournament provide all participants
with participation awards and not trophies to winners. Small-sided teams may
never travel as a full-sided team.
4. A small-sided team can not grow to a full-sided team during the current
seasonal year.
5. Secondary passes are not permitted on small-sided teams.

| U06 Players | U06 players cannot hold a travel team pass and can not play travel team soccer. They may of course participate in the Club's Recreation program. |
| U07 Players | U07 players can play on a U08 Travel Team providing a majority (50% +1) of the team are U08. U07 players cab only play U08 Travel Team Soccer not higher. Whether a U07 player can play up on a U08 team is a club decision. U07 players cannot play out of state. |
| U07 Teams | NJYS does not allow for U07 travel teams. |
| U08 Players | U08 players can play on a U08, U09, or U10 travel team. Whether a U08 player can play up on a U09 or U10 team is a club decision. U08 players cannot play out of state. |
| U08 Teams | U08 teams can only have U07 and U08 players on its roster. The roster size is limited to 14 players at any one time and a maximum of 17 players being on the roster during the seasonal year. The team may not grow to a full sided roster during the seasonal year. |
| U09 Players | U09 players can play on a U09 or U10 travel team. Whether a U09 player can play up on a U10 team is a club decision. U09 players cannot play out of state. |
| U09 Teams | U09 teams can only have U09 and U08 players on its roster. The roster size is limited to 14 players at any one time and a maximum of 17 players being on the roster during the seasonal year. The team may not grow to a full sided roster during the seasonal year. |
| U10 Players | U10 players play on a U10 team. U10 players can play up on an U11 team as long as the U11 team has a majority of U11 players. U10 players cannot play out of state. |
| U10 Teams | U10 teams can only have U10, U09 and U08 players on its roster. The roster size is limited to 14 players at any one time and a maximum of 17 players being on the roster during the seasonal year. The team may not grow to a full sided roster during the seasonal year. |
