App Due: June 1, 2006 Stroudsburg Pennsylvania, in the "Heart of the Pocono’s" is the host of 26 magnificent Soccer Fields contained in 4 outstanding soccer complexes. These soccer fields are easily accessible off Interstate 80 and just over the PA boarder within an easy driving distance from anywhere in the Tri-State area. The main complex, Monroe County Parks / Burnley Soccer Fields, has 10 centrally located fields including 2 brand new championship fields in great condition. East Stroudsburg University (ESU) and Pleasant Valley School both accommodate 10 finely groomed fields for intense competition. We are also very proud to announce the addition of Smithfield Township's Minisink Soccer Park. This brand new facility has a spectacular view of the Delaware Water Gap and will host 4 championship playing fields with plenty of additional space for warm-ups and practice. Much like the International Children's Games that had the eyes of the world on Cleveland in 2004, the Continental Cup is a large, vibrant, civic event celebrating internationalism, youth diversity and sportsmanship. The event will attract more than 300 Premier and Club teams and visitors from across the globe. It will offer the most competitive international youth soccer in North America plus genuine Ohio hospitality. This annual, international youth soccer tournament will be held at four locations throughout the Cleveland area. The participants for this tournament will consist of both males and females ranging from U10-U17 and open division for those 18 and older. App Due: May 15, 2006 ~ Showcase ~ The Great Lakes College Showcase, sanctioned by US Club Soccer, invites your women’s team to participate in our 2006 tournament in Traverse City, Michigan, on July 28-29, 2006. The Showcase has been designed from the ground up to give college-bound players and college coaches a convenient, focused, and exciting experience to aide in the player/college identification process. Your club may assemble a team of eligible players specifically for this showcase. US and Canadian U16, U17 and U18 Women's teams and players registered with US Club or USYSA for the 2005-2006 soccer year are eligible. Selection preference will be given teams with the greatest number of rising High School seniors (graduation year 2006.) Full player profiles will be provided to all registered college coaches. Teams will play three full-length matches on full-sized fields with high-level refereeing and are provided spacious game warm-up sites. Our tournament venue is recognized as one of the best in the region – set in the beautiful north woods of Michigan, convenient to air and ground transportation and unparalleled recreational opportunities. Currently over 80 coaches from throughout the Great Lakes region (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania) have directly expressed their interest in attending this exclusive showcase; they represent NCAA Division I, II, II and NAIA programs.
