Refereeing in MCYSA Game Assignments Game Reports If you are not a licensed referee, you will need to attend a Referee Course
All licensed referees need to attend a Recertification Course each yearYour ASSIGNOR will contact you with your game assignments Before each game both coaches will supply you with a GAME CARD and their half of the referee fee. All Referees will need to Register Online with MCYSA to let us know you would like to officiate our games You will need to CONFIRM ASSIGNMENTS WITH CLUBS at least 36 hours prior to the games. Use the GAME CARDS to check in the teams and record the names and id#' of center and ARs.
Prior to the game return the rosters to the opposing coaches.
During the game use the Game Cards to record game details and scores.
After the game be sure the coaches SIGN the Score Card.Each season you will be expected to Attend Preseason Meeting where we explain MCYSA specific rules Be sure you have DIRECTIONS TO FIELDS
FIELD DIRECTIONS SURVEYOnce you arrive home you will need to:
1) Submit an online game report
2) MAIL the Section A to Joe MarrapodiIn addition to the MCYSA procedures above make sure you have meet the NJYS Guidelines
NJYS NEWS: Recertification
All Grade 7 and Grade 8 referees must attend a recertification clinic each year. There will be a number of clinics scheduled through the state and you must register online at the NJ Referee Committee site for clinic schedules and registration.
1) Use the COURSES link for an option page
2) Select "Re-cert Grades 8, 9, & 7 Classes" option in the "Recertification Classes" column
3) Then clock on Review Course Listing and Register buttonVisit NJ Referee Committee site at http://www.njrefs.com to register for courses & recertification See Links at Left for additional Information and Resources for Referees
