MCYSA - PreSEASON CONFLICT NOTIFICATION

CONFLICT NOTICE DEADLINE IS Friday FEBRUARY 15, 2013
Preseason Conflict Notifications are to be submitted by League Contacts only.

Approval of the Conflict Date and Permission to Reschedule a game is not automatic.  A maximum of 2 conflict dates per team will be honored.  Approval will be at the discretion of the Games Chair.

Exception: If you have a National Competition or State Cup game conflict your league game will be automatic postponed as you progress thru the competition.  If you have a bye for a National Competition or State Cup game you will be expected to play the league game as scheduled.

Check Game Dates.   If the MAJORITY of the players on a team have a conflict with a particular date and there are not enough to field a team, complete this form and click the SUBMIT button at the bottom.  

  1. Conflict Notices are due - Friday, February 15, 2013

  2. Check the published Game Dates. 

  3. If a team has a conflict with a particular date where the majority of the team can not attend the game and therefore can not field a team, a Preseason Conflict Notice can be submitted by the club League Contact.

  4. Please keep in mind that the league can only schedule games for the published game dates.  All date conflicts must have alternate details (date/time/field) are resolved by the opposing teams and included on the Home Game Schedule Files returned by the clubs in late March.

  5. NEW - As Conflict Notifications are received they will be logged on the PCN Received page so you can see what has been submitted and received.

FLIGHTS with EVEN number of TEAMS FLIGHTS with ODD number of TEAMS
Most of the flights will have an even number of teams - usually 6, but some may have 8 or 10 teams.  ALL of those flights will use the Game Dates listed below.   Flights with odd number of teams (5, 7, 9, 11) need 1 or more additional game dates, but also remember each of these teams has one or more byes during the season.

Should weather conditions
require postponements of at least
50% of league games on any
of the regular game dates, those scheduled games will be moved to the first available Rain Date (in the order listed above.  You may play the game as rescheduled on the Rain Date IF it does not pose a conflict for either team, or submit a Schedule Change for some other date.
Supplemental Game Dates for flight with odd numbers of teams

In addition to the game dates listed to the left, supplemental dates will be used as needed in this order:

Division 3, 4, 5, 6:  06/23, 05/18

Division 1 & 2:  06/09, 05/18, 06/01

Not all odd flights will need both dates!!
Most will only use the first one listed

Now that we have received all of the registrations from you, flighting for the D1/D2 teams can be done. Wayne will be receiving all the new registration a little later today to begin work. All Flighting Pages will updated again once D1/D2 Preliminary Flighting is completed.

I am creating your Contact Files and updating your club pages. It will take a day or two, but as each club is processed an email will be sent out to the League Contacts with some information, the Contact File, and a list of registered teams. Several of you have already received that information.

In the mean time, it is important that you take a moment to double check that all your teams are listed on the Registration pages (http://www.mcysa.org/Registration/regstatus.htm ) and all your PCN's that you've filed are listed on the "Preseason Conflict Notices Received" page (http://www.mcysa.org/PCN-Received.htm). You can find convenient links to both areas right in the center of our updated home page.
