EMERGENCY FIELD CLOSING PROCEDURES
If you have an Emergency Field Closing (between 2 and 24 hours prior to Game Time) your club (home club) needs to:
| 1) | The game is NOT automatically postponed. You must first determine if there is an alternate location for the game. You need to make every effort to play the game on the scheduled date if at all possible. | |
|
Determine: |
A) Do you have another field
where you can move the game(s)? B) Does your opponent have a field available for the game(s)? |
|
| 2) | Report Field Closing to league using this form which will notify the MCYSA Scheduler, Games Chair, and Emergency Referee Assignor. If you have made arrangements to move the games to another field (yours or opponents) you can include this in the comment area below. | |
| 3) | CALL the referee if they have confirmed assignments to the affected games today. | |
| 4) | CALL the opposing club/teams who are scheduled to play at your location immediately. Do you best to SPEAK to someone. Messages may not be picked up until it's too late. Reminder - if you don't have a field for the game check to see if they have a field available. | |
| 5) | If the game is being played on another field and you need assistance with referee assignments, one person from the home club should CALL the Emergency Referee Assignor - Kevin Eitel for help. | |
| 6) | If no one has a field available for the game, the teams should begin working on a new game date which must be determined and submitted within 14 days. Be sure to give at least 7 days notice of the new game date. | |
