Just a few reminders for you. Please pass this information on to the appropriate individuals in your club:

HOME GAME SCHEDULE FILES
==============================
I have received 14 Home Game Schedule Files back from our clubs. They are posted in the Field Schedule pages (CLUBS / CLUB FIELD SCHEDULERS / Schedule Files link) Your files are due back in about 24 hours - Saturday 8/23 at midnight. Please be sure to return them via email as an attachment to MCYSA@comcast.net.

Once your file is received it is sent over for Assignor Review. The referee assignor will take a look to see if he can identify any potential problems for referee assignments. If so, he'll be in touch with you. If the assignor suggests any changes and please try to work them in as it is for the benefit of your teams. You will need to submit any changes to your returned files using the online Schedule Change Request form. This includes changes requested by referee assignors, those completing missing information from your files, those due to changes because of withdrawn teams, etc. The online form is the only way to request changes to your schedules. Once forms are submitted and received, the master schedule will be updated.

SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS

Note that we have had 3 teams withdraw in the last 3 days which affect flights U08B-3, U08B-4, U11G-7, and U13G-6 and these 23 clubs: BRIDGEWATER UNITED, CALDWELL, CHATHAM, HIGH POINT, INDEPENDENCE, JEFFERSON, KITTATINNY, LENAPE VALLEY, LINCOLN PARK, LONG VALLEY, MORRIS UNITED, MOUNT OLIVE, MOUNTAIN LAKES, NORTH CALDWELL, RINGWOOD, ROCKAWAY, SPRINGFIELD, STATELINER, SUMMIT, WANAQUE, WEST MORRIS, WEST PATERSON, and WHARTON.

In most cases these withdraws will only affect one or two of your home games so don't let that hold up your HGSF's. (Be sure your HGSF's are sent in by midnight 8/23.) I'll be in contact with you individually with any changes that affect your club and we will work through them in the next week.

CHANGES TO CLUB and TEAM CONTACTS

Procedures for handling changes to Club and Team contacts has been changed starting with the Fall Season. I'll send out instructions to the League Contacts in the next couple of days and also discuss it at the League Contact meeting on the 2nd.

Throughout the year we receive several requests for our membership contact information (addresses, numbers, email, etc.) which we do not give out - even to our own members. If you would like a notice sent to out to all league member clubs you can send in the text and we will include it in our next MCYSA Broadcast message.

RANDOLPH LABOR DAY TOURNAMENT

Registration is still open and we still have openings for:
U9 Boys and Girls
U10 Boys and Girls
U11 Boys
U12 Boys and Girls
U13 Girls
U14 Boys

We have extended our application deadline.

In our 25th year, the Randolph Labor Day will begin Friday evening, August 29th (limited games), Saturday August 30th and Sunday August 31st. The tournament will offer 4 quality games to get your fall season going. Go to our website www.randolphsoccer.org for registration and more info.

RE: FOLLOW-UP ON FIELD SCHEDULERS' MEETING

Good Evening,

As promised last evening, I am including an electronic copy of what I presented at the Field Schedulers' meeting. The purpose of this is to provide guidance and assistance as you work through your schedule for the fall.

MINIMUM GAME TIME ALLOCATION:

FULL-SIDED:
Division 3: 1 hr. 45 mins.
Division 4: 1 hr. 35 mins.

SMALL-SIDED:
Division 5: 1 hr. 25 mins.
Division 6: 1 hr. 10 mins.

All above times allow for specified length of play, 5 min. half-time break; 5 min. stoppage (except for Div. 6); 10 mins. between games for ref break; 5 min. check in teams

SCHEDULING PARAMETERS:

DO NOT SCHEDULE ALL GAMES FOR 1 PM START!!! Stagger start time to facilitate referee assignments.

SCHEDULE TWO GAMES PER FIELD MINIMUM WHERE POSSIBLE.

TRAINERS DO NOT DICTATE SCHEDULE - Each team should have volunteer coaches that can cover game.

If you have a single Div. 3 game; schedule it first, then subsequent games so the referee team can be split up to cover...

If you have multiple Div. 3 games; schedule together to be covered by 3-ref team (or teams).

If you have a Div. 4 game and multiple Div. 3 games; schedule the Div. 4 game first...

Don't forget to provide time for travel and field check if referee is to cover multiple games on at different venues.

If you only have a single game, there is a chance you will be asked to move time or game location, so it can be covered by referee working at adjacent town.

If fields are being used for multiple leagues, please provide separate tab giving that information. It will help for approval and coordination of schedules and referees between leagues.


DURING THE SEASON:

Any/all changes to schedule (early play; authorized changes) MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST 7 DAYS PRIOR TO SCHEDULED DATE AND TIME.

Any/all reschedules MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN TWO WEEKS of originally-scheduled date.

NOTIFY RAA, RA, Referee and Opponent at earliest possible time of Field Closure. Be sure to fill out on-line field closure form. If possible, move game to opponent field.
